First time trying Osaka and the Tonkatsu Ramen was delicious. Definitely will be returning. The fried tofu appetizer was great as well. Service and turn around time was superb.

It was a first visit for me and the family. We went early so there was no crowd or usual folks at the bar. Will go back during a regular hour for dinner. Staff were prompt and obviously plenty of seating at 4:30. Variety of good drinks, wine, beer and Asian specialties. Old Fashion could have been a little stronger but it was still good. Tried three appetizers and they were all fresh and hot and very tasty. Decent portion. And fairly priced. Enjoyed by everyone at the table. Salad was cold crisp and just the right amount of dressing. All four dinners were sized just right - needed 3 boxes. We shared and enjoyed and tell you it was really good. Glad that we have a nice Asian influenced restaurant in downtown. Will be back - and will also do take out when the mood hits us.

This is now our favorite date spot in Watertown! The atmosphere is calm and quiet, but not dark and brooding! The food is great and the service is too! We've had ramen, appetizers, Thai food, and their Boba and it was almost all great. Their hibachi is not my favorite, kinda bland, but the rest is fantastic! The Thai Curries we've tried are huge portions and are loaded with flavor! The meat is tender and the veggies are perfectly cut. This time we got a few apps, and the tacos are surprisingly filling for an appetizer, but Very worth the price. The meat was perfectly spiced, and I wish I'd though to put some soy Sauce on them sooner! My wife got the Curry, and I normaly don't like peanut flavored things, but the light peanutyness was a perfect compliment to the spices and meat.

When you love good authentic food and you find a gem where you least expect it... It makes you want to come back again and again. This was my first time in to Osaka. I came specifically for the ramen and was shocked by the variety of cultures represented (not always a good sign). But it's literally the only place I've been to where the summer rolls are filled with fresh herbs (seasonally available) and shrimp. Most Vietnamese and Thai places around Milwaukee just use lettuce and noodles and you're lucky if there's any protein. The pork belly yakitori skewers were salty and sweet and melted in your mouth. The Red Tonkotsu ramen noodles themselves were tender and delicately thin. With a rich broth and great spice and enough fixings to make me contently full. On my second visit they didn't have fresh herbs for their summer rolls. I get it. Winter in Wisconsin isn't exactly great fresh herbs weather. I tried the beef rib ramen on the chefs specials list. It was amazing with lip tingling spiciness. Next time I'm going to try a rice bowl... Unless it's still -20! Third time in today but today we're still freezing so ramen it is! Asked for a suggestion and was recommended to try the brisket... Spicy of course! Great contrast of the sweet meat that was so tender you could pull off pieces with your chopsticks and the creamy spicy broth.

I can’t say enough good things about this place! From the moment my boyfriend and I walked in, we were captivated by the calming and charming atmosphere. We originally came in because we saw an ad for their ramen, but once we arrived, we realized they had so many incredible options that it was tough to choose. We started with the pork tacos, which were absolutely delicious, and a side salad with a unique dressing that I’ve never had before but loved. For our mains, I had the beef rib ramen, and it completely blew me away! The ramen was exactly what I had dreamed of – rich and flavorful, with beef so tender it fell off the bone. My boyfriend got the chicken curry, and it was equally phenomenal, with an authentic taste that was impossible to stop eating. The portions were generous, too. On top of the amazing food, the service was top-notch. Our waiter was attentive and friendly, making the whole experience even better. I would highly recommend this place to anyone – it’s definitely our new go-to date spot!

October 2024: The person (Jackie) who served me was on her first day, but she was still very nice. She was cleaning and setting tables, and working very hard to meet everyone's needs. I applaud her on her care! It did take a little while for them to take my order after I placed the menu down, but they were juggling 30 things at once. The food took around 20 minutes to get out, but it was worth it, because it was absolutely incredible. I got Tonkatsu ramen (I recommend for beginners and people who don't like spicy food). I have been to many ramen restaurants, and I can confidently say that this one was one of the best ones (food-wise) that I have ever been to. The meat was perfectly tender, the noodles al dente, and the broth rich and creamy. All the toppings were full of flavor and paired amazingly with the food. I spent 20.20 with a 20% tip. The atmosphere was very elegant and defined. They had pleasant piano music playing, though there was lots of chatter, but that's expected on a friday night. Their tables were numbered, I'm assuming so that the right food gets to the right place. The silverware was clean and shiny. The lighting was dim, but the sources were a little bright. The design of the restaurant has elements of both modernism, with the side lighting and the vases, and a nice classic feel with the design of the place itself. The workers' uniforms were black and professional, though someone had open-toed shoes who was working there. The restroom was very clean, and the stalls are wood-colored. They provide baby changing stations, but they were out of bed-liners. There's 4 toilet paper holders, so they should never be out. There's nothing automatic, and they had paper towel dispensers, which I personally see as a win. The seating, even on a busy Friday night, was pretty generous and they were careful with their spacing and attention to detail. They have two seating areas, and a high table option. I believe they also had booster seats available for families with children. Apologies for the blurry photos. Edit (2025): I STILL often order Door dash, because the Tonkatsu Ramen is TO DIE FOR. I really love this place, and continue to think it deserves all the praise it has.

I've been wanting to try Osaka since they opened so I finally got the chance tonight with some take out. Color me impressed! I started out with crab Rangoon and the Japanese Spring rolls called Harumaki. Both were very tasty and traveled well on the 9 min ride home. I did the Beef Rib Ramen, extra spicy. OUTSTANDING! Unreal tenderness and flavor on that huge rib chunk! The Ramen noodles had a good bite of texture to them and the (ordered) extra spicy was perfectly hot, and almost sweat-inducing (my fav level). I got a Taro (bubble tea) without bubbles? I ordered online so I just clicked. I will be bringing my wife out here for date night sometime soon! Bravo and thank you!
